ABATTOIRS EMPLOYEES AWARD.
The Wellington Industrial ~ District Abattoirs Employees Award provides for a 40-hour week. The wages art;: Slaughtermen,; -£6 per week; sawmen, stockmen, and' all- other adult workers, £5 ss;. casual slaughtermen, 5s per hour; all other adults, 2s 9d.- .Youths' wages are fixed at from £2 per week from- 16 to 17 years of age, to £4 15s from 20 to 21,.thereafter adult rates. Paid holidays are New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, the Sovereign's birthday, Labour Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day. A paid holiday of one week is given after each year of service, with proportionate holidays for six months. The term of the award is one year, taking effect on Monday,
