FRIEDMAN PIANO RECITAL.
The eminent Polish pianist, Ignaz Friedman, will appear in a pianoforte recital at the Town Hall on Thursday, October 24. This is Friedman's second visit to New Zealand, and the sensation which he created on his former tour will be recalled by many music-lovers. He is regarded as the greatest living Chopin exponent in the world, and in the opinion of the best critics his art knows no limits of a technical or musical nature. As the whole of the proceeds of this recital will be devoted to the patriotic funds it is confidently anticipated the attendance will be a record one. The box plan opens tomorrow at the D.I.C.
