EVACUATION OF CHILDREN FROM BERLIN

The Berlin newspapers publish details of a plan to evacuate 75,000 children from the capital as a result of Royal Air Force raids. The first train load is already en route to Poland.

The Berlin news agency says that the gradual voluntary evacuation of children from large towns such as Berlin and Hamburg, which are threatened by air raids, is not due to any danger from the British air attacks, which do not necessitate action, but to the bad effect on the health of young children frorr, freguert interruptions of sleep.
