Masterton second-day acceptances at 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Brackets at Masterton tomorrow are Cheerful Lady and Vivid Night in the maiden event and Pas de Cheval and Fly-By-Night in the hack sprint. Beau Vite was erroneously included in the list of final acceptors for the Caulfield Cup on Saturday. Loyal Queen, who has been racing very disappointingly, has been turned out for a spell. Lady Tinkle is to concentrate on races at Trentham, as she has not even been nominated for. .the .C.J.C. Stewards' and. other events at Riccarton. ' ...

The Dozer showed a bold front for a mile and a quarter in the Michelson Cup on Saturday, and he should not be long in winning a race round the northern country circuit. When Agog won the hurdle race at Ellerslie it was his first success for over two years, and it looks as if he was lucky to win, for Lapidarian had the event won when he fell at the last fence.

It is not to be wondered at that Nuna, who dead-heated with Pay Roll in the A.R.C. Welcome Stakes, possesses a fine burst of speed, for she ranks as a half-sister by Lysander to Surmount, the pair being out of the Day Comet mare Cometary, a daughter of The Boyne, by. Merriwee. Nuna carries the colours of her breeder, Mr. H. D. Matthews, of Hamilton. Par Avion, who was a winner on the final day at Hastings, was sent down to Trentham at the weekend to renew experience with the track prior to next week's meeting. In his pace work yesterday morning he was very keen to go and he certainly looks one with more than average speed.
