Filbert, who is now a member of H. H. Mills's team at Hawera, was noticed finishing on well in the hack sprint at Otaki last Saturday, when having his first race this season, and he may not take long in coming to hand this term. Like his dam, Gardant,_ he favours a distance of a mile or just beyond.
