AN ACQUITTAL

James Bernard Lawless, a mechanic, aged 31 (Mr. G. C Kent) was acquitted by a jury in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon on alternative charges of breaking and entering Martin's Shoe Stores, Ltd., Courtenay Place, on July 20, and stealing £110 3s 7d, and receiving a £5 note. The jury was- in retirement for less than half an hour. Mr. Justice Ostler discharged the prisoner.
