When 60,000 Green Shirts and 20.000 I peasants wearing the national regional J costume demonstrated in the public square, the Prime Minister, General Antonescu. declared that September 6 j (when King Carol abdicated) was a ■day of salvation for Rumanian rights, and in commemoration of which the name of the square would be September the Sixth Square. The Italian, German, and Japanese Ministers were present.
