Sir,—l would like to know whether anything can be done to provide improved telephone facilities for the men at Trentham Camp. There is a great shortage of telephones for the large number of men stationed there and consequently the men ' have to wait sometimes half an hour to an hour to obtain use of the telephone. This seems unnecessary and undesirable as it would appear that an • increased number of telephones would be a source of revenue to the Government, a call from Trentham to Wellington costing a minimum of 3d. —I am, etc.,
