In the English Trophy Association football match, Wellington (chaliongcre) C beat"Auckland 3.
The weather and ground were perfect. Auckland f&orcd after three minutes. Boblnsoa crossed for A. Francis to net. Wellington now took a, turn and Walker scored 20 yards out. Immediately Walker scored again from close in. Wellington dominated play, and Hatehard scored a clever goal from 25 yards out. At half-time the score was Wellington 3, Auckland 1.
On resumption Baker scored for Wellington. The visitors had the territorial advantage. After mldfleld exchanges. Trice added another. Soon after Baker netted with a good shot. Auckland now took a turn. A. Francis scored close in. Auckland pressed again for Masters to score, making the final (5-3.
