WAN6ANUI, October 5
The A team of the Wellington-West Coast Regiment beat the TaranaKl Roglment fifteen by 8 points to 3 in a Rugby match at the Wanganui racecourse today. Oha of the outstanding players was A. Johns, the Taraualsl representative full-back, whoso kicking and general play waa magnificent. For tho winners, tries were scored by B. Gdldsbury and E. Wilson. A Duncan converted one. R. Seldon scored a try for Taranakl.
The curtain-raiser between the A Company (Wellington), New Zealand Scottish Regiment and tho Wellington-West Coast Regiment B team was won by the former by 6 points to nil. Clarke scored a try and Dowell kicked a ponalty goal. •
