COMPARATIVE LOSSES LAST WEEK

It is stated authoritatively that during the week which ended at midnight on October 5 it was confirmed that the German aeroplane losses in battles over Britain amounted to 104. not including machines damaged or probably lost. On the basis of the confirmed plane losses alone, the German pilot losses are estimated to exceed 250.
In the same period the R.A.F. lost 40 machines in and around Britain, but from these 21 pilots were saved.
