ANGLING SEASON
•As so often happens. •In ■ the first days of the angling season, the wea-
ther has .been against good .baskets,. but the weekend was pleasant. There is still a good deal of water in the rivers,-and so far the wet fly angler has done better -than those who fish dry and look to a hatch of natural fly to bring the trout to the top. As usual, the smaller streams Jhern th«> wotr>f warm? more 2 V 4if, V !J ■fJS mntJ y-r i s"nY and ■wbich.aiompre # easily, fished, have been well patronised, and have given goOd results. A limit was taken in the Horokiwi, and also in the Wainui. Apart from these, no outstanding baskets have been recorded.
