RECENT CONFERENCE
TO REASSEMBLE NEXT WEEK
The conference called several weeks ago by the Government for the purpose, of considering economic questions associated with New Zealand's war effort, with; a view to ..increasing production and stabilising.prices and costs, -will reassemble next week.
After the general discussion of the situation when the conference opened, it Was to refer a number of questions to a "representative committee for the purpose of taking evidence if deemed necessary.' This committee, it is reported, has been meeting continuously, arid has taken a great deal of important evidence from -representai tive persons.' It" is understood that the repiort is how" in preparation and that it will be presented to the main conference next week. ■
