SINKING OF ENEMY VESSELS
.(Received October 5, 1 p.m.) 1 LONDON, October 4. ' It is stated officially that the British submarine Osiris torpedoed and sank an Italian destroyer in the Adriatic on September 22. The Admiralty states that seven U-boats and two Italian submarines have been sunk by naval air units in the past few weeks.
