OFFICER COMMANDING

GENERAL RUSSELL TO ACT

During the absence of Major-General Sir J. E. Duigan, C.8., D.S.O-, Chief of the General Staff, from New Zealand as a delegate to the Empire Economic Conference at Delhi, India, the New Zealand Forces will be commanded by Major-General. Sir Andrew Russell, who was recently appointed InspectorGeneral of the New Zealand Forces.

This announcement was made today by the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones).
