The Legislative Council reassembled*, at 2.30 p.m. yesterday and received, the Orchard and " Garden Diseases^ Amendment Bill from the House o£~ Representatives. The Bill was readT*; the first time. .-."■ A motion expressing appreciation o$« the services of the late Mr. John .. :.. Anstey, a former member of the CounV.V cil and of the House of Representatives, was carried and the Council ad-. iV journed until 2.30 p.m. today as a mark' of respect.
