PRIZES PRESENTED

The Central Sunday School rally, under, the auspices of the Wellington Sunday School Union, took place last evening in the Taranaki Street Metho-

district schools with their parents, teachers, and other friends. The interesting porgramme was made |up of choir items, elocution and vocal solos. Three choirs contributed, namely, a special central choir led by Mr. W. E. Howe; the Salvation Army Young People's choir, with Mr. Limpus conducting; and a children's choir from the Wadestown Presbyterian Sunday School. Recitations were given by Thelma Davis, Ngaire Harison, Naida Jacobsen, and Pearl Ferguson. Betty Pearce gave a sole. A Biblical dramatic presentation of "The Lost Coin" was given by scholars from The Terrace Congregational School, and the Kent Terrace Presbyterian juniors produced the play, "Amelia and the Dwarfs." Prizes and certificates were presented by Mrs. Lawrence North. The Rev. L. A. North gave an interesting tenminute address in which he recounted the story of Thomas fudges, missionary to the island of Terra del Fuego. Mr. H. E. Brooker, president of the Wellington Sunday School Union brought greetings from the union. The Benediction was pronounced, and the proceedings concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
