(Received October 3, 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Owing to rain and a heavy track the Ascot races were postponed from yesterday until next Thursday. Landlaw, one of the most fancied horses, was scratched from the Metropolitan today owing to showing signs of lameness. He will return to Melbourne. The New Zealander Beaupartir is returning home on an early boat. I
