Details of actual expenditure by the Wellington "Hospital Board during the' financial year ended March 31, 1940, were presented with th&^estimates for the current financial year'which were before the board yesterday. The figures were as follows,, this year's estimates being given in parentheses:— Gross ordinary expenditure, £329,043 (£389,630); receipts other than levies and subsidies, £99,429; net figure, £229,616 (£1B3,18O). Heads of ordinary expenditure: Wellington Hospital, £298,300.
