y- Interest:in the exhibitions-at-..-the National Art Gallery continues to be very great, and with such a wealth of good material to select from art societies arid. galleries have not been slow in making purchases.. The Dunjedin Art Gallery has already purchased three important pictures, these [being "The Fellside," by Sir Arnesby' Brown, R.A., "Horses and Elder Bloom," by A. J. Munnings, R.A., and "The Chess by .Margaret FisherProut. The Auckland Art Gallery .-'lias purchased "Horowhenua" and "Chiriese Pottery," by Mr. T. A McCormack, while the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts has acquired "Ber'to." a bronze by Margaret Butler. The gallery is open daily ■ arid in the -evening*,
