AUSTRALIAN DAIRY LEVY.
. Great Britain's agreement with the Commonwealth Government to purchase the whole of the Australian surplus production of' butter and cheese has eliminated the necessity for overseas publicity aimed at extending the market for those products. As a result, the levy on butter and cheese has been reduced. The new rates of one-fifty-sixth of Id per lb on butter and one one-hundred-and-twelfth of Id per lb on cheese, compare with previous rates of one-twentieth of id and onerfortieth of Id respectively.
