WAR MISCELLANY
RUGBY.—The Polish Minister for Social Welfare returns to Paris from London tomorrow. He expressed to Lord Halifax thanks for the British Government's contribution of £100,000 for Polish refugee relief. He also expressed gratitude to the people for their generous help.—B.O.W.
RUGBY.—The King and Queen inspected the mobile canteen of the women's voluntary services for civil defence in the quadrangle of Buckingham Palace.—B.O.W.
RUGBY.—The South African Defence Department announces that a reserve unit has been established for recruits over the age of 45. The purpose is to relieve units of the permanent force from guard and other duties.—B.O.W.
RUGBY.—Trade discussions are proceeding with representatives in London of all European neutral countries.
