ADVICE TO THE YOUNG

SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY

Buflding the Church with bricks of honesty, courage, sacrifice, homeliness, purity, beauty, peace, and strength and other such virtues was effectively demonstrated by the members of the Seatoun Presbyterian,' Sunday School in anniversary services which were, held yesterday. Both services were well attended, and the congregations included visitors. ,from Palmerston North. The minister, the Rev. B. C. Dowling, M.A., officiated.

During the course of a short but impressive sermon the preacher spoke of bricks. and their uses, and urged his young hearers to become good bricks. Whatever they were doing they should do well, and to the best of their ability

A violin solo was played by Mr. J. B. Smith, and the Sunday scholars sang very beautifully, b Miss J. W. Russell was the organist. Poems were also given by the children, whose efforts reflected great credit on the organiser and superintendent, Mr. H. S. Cross. Miss H. Wesney conducted the junior scholars. Thanks were expressed by the minister to the teachers and to all responsible for the success of the anniversary services.
