ROAD WALKING

On Saturday the members of the Wellington Combined Road Walking Club . started, from Karori Cemetery g^tes and followed the main road |;q the park, then down South Karori Road, where the going was very rough. On the homeward journey a handicap race was held, and this resulted in a dead heat, for first place between Connolly and Cameron. Dumble was third and made, fastest time, Cameron showed eurprifjingly good form, and both he and Connolly can look forward to reduced handicaps. Dumble and Gollop were associated in a fighting finish,* in. which Dumble gained the honours. Next Saturday the club will meet at the Hataitai Sports Ground. . '
