The Dominion Auctioneering C 0.., Ltd., Palmerston North, states that at their weekly fair held on Thursday pigs were in fair supply, porkers and baconers being in demand and weaners holding late rates. Poultry: 8.0. hens, 9s to 10s per pair; best W.L. hens, 7s to 8s; light hens, 6s to 7s; medium cockerels, 7s to 8s; small cockerels, 2s to 4s; young ducks. 13s 4d per pair; old ducks, 7s to 8s per pair; geese, 5s 8d each; hens and chicles. 15s to £1. Produce: Apples, Delicious 16s 6d to 20s 6d, Stunners 10s 6d to 14s; pears, Winter Cole 13s to 16s 3d, Winter Nelis 12s 6d to 14s 9d, cooking pears 10s to 12s 9d; hot house tomatoes, ls 4d to 2s per pound; cauliflowers, 7s to 12s 6d per sack; cabbages, 2s 6d to 5s per case, bags 3s to 6s; spinach, 7s 6d to 10s 6d per case: lettuce, ls to 3s 6d per case; leeks, 5s to 10s per case; green peas, 4d to 5d per lb; carrots, new season's, lOd to ls 3d; parsnips, ls to 2s per bunch; beetroot, 9d to ls 8d per bunch; asparagus, 8s to 9s per dozen; spring onions, 6d to ls 3d per bunch; rhubarb, 4s 6d to 7s 3d per dozen; new potatoes, Otaki, 3d to 3£d per lb.
