POLICE REQUEST

COURT NOT BIG ENOUGH

(Special to ,:the "Evening Post.")

AUCKLAND, This Day.

When Adelia O'Hanlon, aged 57, was charged in the Police Court with stealing a carton of honey valued at lOd from a grocery store, Detective-Ser-geant Walsh said that many other charges would be brought against her. Over 1000 articles, which were alleged to have been stolen from stores, had been sorted out in the police gymnasium, and he suggested that, provided no objection was made, the charge be heard there. Mr. Walsh asked for a remand until Tuesday next.

Mr. Ackins, appearing for O'Hanlon, agreed to both requests.
