The anti-cyclone, which last week covered eastern Australia.,has been slowly moving eastwards and"now" extends across, the south Tas-' man Sea on to the South Island: Pressure fell', yesterday in the far north of the Dominion* and a slight depression is located this morning to the east of the Auckland .Peninsula. Strong ; westerly" to ■ south-westerly Winds predominated -on Saturday, but 'turned-yesterday to southerly or-south-easterly, and gale force has been reached in many exposed positions.
