DRIVERS FINED
INTOXICATION CASES

AUCKLAND, This Day.
After a collision between a tramcar* and a motor-car he was driving in Khyber Pass Road at 10.30 on Saturday night, Robert James Finlay, aged 29, carpenter, was arrested today and pleaded guilty in the Police Court to intoxication while in charge of a motorcar.
The police stated that a traffic officer was a passenger on the tramcar when Finlay's car struck it at an intersection. The traffic officer saw the defendant was under the influence of liquor and took him to the police station.
The defendant, was fined £30 and his licence was cancelled for two years.
Jacob Hakppa Keepa, a Maori, aged 48, was fined £25 and his licence was cancelled, for two years on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-cycle.
