AUCKLAND PROTEST

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 28. At a largely attended special meeting of public servants in Auckland tonight the matter of the efficiency tests recently notified by the Public Service Commissioners was fully discussed. The following resolution was carried:— ''That this largely attended meeting of Auckland public servants records its strong protest against ''the efficiency 'tests as notified in the Public Service] official circular of July 17, and requests the • executive ■ committee of the Public Service Association to place these views before the Public Service Commissioner "and, if necessary, the Government; with the object of their withdrawal.".
