The street day appeal held on July 7 by the S.P.C.A. and the New Zealand Scottish Territorial Regimental Association realised a lotal of £247 8s lOd. The day was one of the coldest days of the year and it is considered that the amount collected was a credit to the persistency of the collectors. Had the weather been fine it is certain the. amount would have been more than doubled. The combined committee thanks all those who subscribed to the appeal. It is the intention of the social committee to hold a concert and dance next month in aid of the fund.
