LOWER HUTT COURT
Offences against the traffic regulations were dealt with in the Lower? Hutt Court yesterday. A large number of cases involving licences and warrants of fitness was a noteworthy feature of the proceedings. Failure to produce driving licences cost Allan Edward Tubman (Trentham) £1 and costs, Marjorie Adams (Silverstream), Robert George Duncan. (Petone), Jack William Piper. (Lower. Hutt), Ainsley Richards (Eastbourne), Pat Stanly Spiller (Lower Hutt), Thomas Salisbury Waugh (Lower Hutt), Charles Nolan Dixbn (Lower " Hutt), Joyce Upton (Nae Nae), and Alexander Robert Pratt (Lower Hutt), 15s and costs each, Richard Edwin Carter (Lower Hutt) 10s * and costs, and Thomas Raine (Wellington) 5s and, costs.
For exceeding the speed limit in the borough, .Maurice Bonthorne (Petone), Bernard Edhouse (Petone), Brian Smith (Seatoun), . and Colin. Wiren (Ngaio). were each fined £2 10s and costs, Raymond lan Robbie (Silverstream), Allan. Birch (Wellington), ' Albert Stopforth (Lower Hutt), and Percy James Watson (Brooklyn) £2 and costs each, and Leonard Philp (Seatoun) £2 15s and I costs.
Fines of £1 and costs were imposed on Mildred Florence Baker (Hataitai), and Frederick John Wellington (Petone) for driving without due care and attention.
For failing to carry warrants of fitness in the vehicles they were* driving Bernard Gough (Moera), Briggs Robinson (Lower Hutt). Lan Staples (Lower Hutt), Vincent Reginald Brown (Lower Hutt), Joseph McConnell (Lower Hutt), Noel Naughton (Lower Hutt), Alfred Treseder (Lower Hutt), William Corbett (Lower Hutt), William. Hermanns (Wellington), Arthur John Hyder (Lower Hutt), Arthur James Middleton (Lower Hutt), John Maurice Robertson (Lower Hutt), Charles Seyrner Whitcher (Lower Hutt), and Alexander Robert Pratt (Lower Hutt), were each fined 15s and costs.
Alan Charles Whitcher (Lower Hutt), Thomas Henry Riley (Lower Hutt), Leslie Eagles (Petbne), and Francis Renner (Lower Hutt) were each fine^d 10s and costs, Herbert Teagle (Lower Hutt), William John Upton (Wellington), Percy Esmond Walker (Petone), Leonard Hay ton (Lower Hutt) and Edward Neil Lawson (Korokoro) 5s and costs each, and Robert William, Gray (Lower Hutt) and Raymojiol Oswald Turkingtoh (Petone) -2s 6d ahd costs each for similar offences. ;
, Reginald Stewart (Petone) and John Thompson (Lower Hutt) were each fined £1 and costs, and James Garner (Lower Hutt) 10s and 6os'ts for riding unlighted bicycles after dark. "-, :
