MUTTON PRICES FIRM

The New Zealand Meat Producers" Board has received the following report on the London market:—Lamb: Tendency of market is a shade easier with prices for some grades slightly lower. Mutton: Wethers, firm on the better demand: ewes, steady, prices unchanged. Beef: Frozen. firm, with prices higher; chilled, prices this week a shade easier.' New Zealand porker pigs: Quiet, with prices unchanged. New Zealand baconer pigs: Firmer owing to shortage of supplies. The lamb market is slightly easier all round particularly prime and second quality lambs. The mutton market is steady to firm, particularly wethers.
