TROOP MOVEMENTS
INDIA TO EGYPT
INCREASING STRATEGIC RESERVE

RUGBY, July 27.
The War Office states that' the dispatch of certain troops at an. early date from India to Egypt is a precautionary measure, and is intended to increase the strategic reserve in the Middle East. It is welcomed by the Egyptian Government.
There is no intention of sending the troops to Palestine.
INDIANS FOR SINGAPORE AND FIJI

BOMBAY, July 27,
Following the dispatch of Indian troops to Egypt, it is learned that a batch of Sikhs and,, Mahrattas.. will shortly go to Singapore. It is believed that a large concentration of Indian troops will shortly be stationed in Fiji.
