"The desire of the honourable member to assist the Government in connection with the Hutt Valley development scheme is appreciated, and 1 can assure him that his representations will receive very careful "onsideration in connection with the preparation of thai scheme." said the Prime Minister (the Rt Hon. M. J. Savage) ill the House of Representatives today in reply to a question by Mr B, Roberts (Government, Wairarapa), who asked Mr. Savage whether, in view of the protest ol the settlers of Ohau. near Levin, against the Government's market garden scheme in that district, he would favourably consider the Wairarapa electorate, especially around Grey town;, where the land is much superior.
