MAN KILLED
ACCIDENT WHILE CLEARING
SNOW

A. death indirectly attributable to the show occurred today, when a workman, who was clearing snow from a roof in !.■.George'-Street, fell 35 feet through a skylight and was killed almost instantaneously when , his head struck a counter at the bottom of his fall. . , • . ■'■■•.•■■■' • ■'.'• .■■ ' '• He was William Cooper, aged 36. whose parents reside at Lochiel, near Wiriton. He had been an employee of the Love Construction Company for sometime and. with Robert John Love, I foreman of the company, he had clambered on to the roof in order to clear the skylight of snow. The two men had completed the work and Mr Love turned his back on. his companion for a moment in order to return e to the ground. He heard a sudden crash and found that Mr Cooper had fallen through the sky'ieht they had iust cleared. The incident occurred some time about 1 o'clock, and when Mr. Cooper was taken to hospital it was found that he was dead, the injuries indicating that death must have been practically instantaneous.
