NEW DEPARTMENT'S SCOPE

LONDON, July 26.
In the House of Commons, it was stated that it was not within the scope of the Foreign Office Publicity Department to deal with the co-ordination of the Empire News services and countermeasures against anti-British propaganda, but that constant contact would be kept with the Empire Press and the Department would always be ready to correct misleading statements.
