PROVINCIAL FINAL GAME
Notification had been received from' the Athletic Club, of Wanganui, that it would have to default to Waterside in the Wellington. provincial Chatham Cup final set down for decision at the Basin Reserve on Saturday next, said Mr. W. J. Arcus, secretary of the Wet I lington Football Association, at the meeting of the association's management committee last night. ] The chairman (Mr. J. Meltzer) presided and there were also present Messrs. J. J. Kean. A. J. Costelloe, M. H. Webley, E. J. Gates, R. Bold. J. H. Janes, C. Ballard, G. F. Aers, H., Spolsky, and the secretary (Mr, W. J. Arcus). : First A division championship fixtures for next Saturday, July 29, were rearranged as follows: — Hospital v. Petone, at Basin No. 1. Waterside v. Diamond, at Basin No. 2. Seatoun v. Technical Old Boys, at Seatoun. Swifts v. Marist, at Kelburn. All are to start at 2.45 p.m. Senior fixtures for Saturday week, August 5, were made as follows: — First A Division. Swifts v. Petone, at Basin No. 1. Hospital v. Seatoun, at Hospital. j Marist v. Institute Old Boys (first B), at-Basin No. 2. First B Division—Victory Cup. Scottish Wanderers v. Stop Out, at Crawford Green. Onslow v. Lower Hutfc, at Hutt Recreation Ground. Nada v. Training College, at Kelburn. Institute Old Boys and Miramar Rangers will play later. A letter of thanks is to be sent to the Railway Department for deciding to run a special train from Wellington to Auckland and back for the North* Island Chatham Cup final between Waterside and Ponsonby on Saturday week, August 5. The train will leave Wellington on the Friday night and arrive back early on Monday morning. The junior management committee of the Auckland Football Association wrote accepting August 5 as a suitable date for Wellington's Flyger Cup challenge match which will be a curtain-j raiser to the Wat arside-Ponsonby) Chatham Cup game at Blandford Park. Auckland also promised to send a te^m to Wellington later in the season for a return game. The transfer was approved of F. 1 arrant from Marist first A to second A I division. '
