GOLFERS ENTERTAIN
MANOR PARK CLUB
Gas-filled balloons bo"bbed against.the ceiling of the Mayfair Cabaret. last night and active members of thei Manor Park Golf Club reached to::. grasp their tantalising floating stream-:! ers, presenting the ensuing "prizes";., to their partners. The occasion was, the second annual ball, of the club. and the dance was very well, attended. Further decorations in the way ■ -fittali irisas were mingled with; greenery:; and arranged, in amber vases,' and- set in the foyer. ■ •, ■• '•• > .!';;-' ■"■: The president, Mr. A. S. T. Buller,', received the guests with Mrs. .Butleiy,. ■who was wearing a black taffeta :hos-,' tess gown and a black and gold jacket.^ They were assisted by Mr. and Mr&ij B. Brickman, the latter wearing a frock: of black and white floral marquisette finished with a Peter Pan collar of ""■ black sequins. . : :

When packing for holidays, cut soxnii pieces of cardboard the same size aa the suitcase and fold any silk andj crushable frocks on top of them. Thei£ tie lightly into place with tape,- and; it will be found, that the frocks- wii£ keep "quite uncrushed. A badly-creased* frock should be hung on a hangeif behind the bathroom door. The steam from the bath will take the creases outi of the frock. \z
