HOSPITAL RATING
COUNTIES SEEK REVIEW
With little discussion, the biennial conference of the New Zealand Counties' Association last evening adopted the following remits dealing with the question of hospital rating:— "That the whole basis of hospital rating be reviewed as a result of the proposed Social Security legislation." "That until the basis oi hospital rating has been reviewed, rtie Government be asked to increase its hospital subsidy to 21." "That special ana immediate relief be given to those counties containing a large proportion of Native lands." "That until tha effect of the Social Security be known to the hospital boards, only urgent capital expenditure be incurred."
