TALISMAN DUBBO MINE.
Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines reports for period July 20:—No. 4 Talisman level: The work of cleaning out and reconditioning level proceeded to 104 ft from Dubbo rise and 376 ft from face, which length, with exception of two small falls, appears in very fair order. When this is cleaned up the rise to No. 2 Dubbo can be starred, objects of which are good ventilation, timber supplies, safety, and reef development.' R*se 100 ft north of Cogan's Crosscut: Completed to 35it above No. 4 Talisman level, timbered, and cribbed to that height, and ladders, and pass chute installed. Lode here is nearly 24in ox good-grade ore. Rise 32ft south of Cogan's Crosscut: Rise is up 50ft, lode system being 3ft wide of pug and rubbly quartz. Fair amount of water coming from system making close timbering necessary. Rise 300 ft south of Cogan's Crosscut: This extends to 15ft, lode 12in of flinty quartz. Stulls and pass chute being constructed. Air •pipes for ventilation installed for 1350 it, and tram track from mouth of No. 4 to aerial completed. The mill started running on July 19, and is in full production on outside ora. <
