RICCARTON UNDER SNOW

Last night's snow amounted to "two inches and the course at Ricearton war under a heavy white mantle this morning, the drifts near the fences being eighteen inches deep. Mr. P. D« Mac Nab, the racecourse manager, waa busy with his staff this morning clearing away the snow from- the fence* At some the t^ke-off side is worse, but along "the back the- heavier lie is oa / - the landing side. .Mr. Mac Nab is hopeful that the course will be all right for the Hunt Meeting on Saturday, prq- ." ■ vided that no, more snow falls' and that there are two da*ys of sunshine.
