"The British Government has been a little stiff in its rule in- India. If it will simply loosen a little things will be all right." said Mr. F. Jalnawala, a retired merchant, of Bombay, who arI rived by the Wanganella from Sydney today. Mr.' "Jalnawala said that despite the strong move, in some quarters towards. "Indianisatioh." the educated, classes in Inida would be satisfied with British rule if it weer not quite so rigid. "One must expect a little exploitation," he added with a smile. Mr. Jalnawala is a Par see. Hesaid there were about 100,000 . Earsees in India, about three-quarters of them in Bombay,' where they comprised • the educated and merchant class. Accompanied by his wife, Mr. Jalnawala is on a world tour, from India to Australia, New Zealand, the United States, South America, South. Africa, and thence home. He and his wife will spend twenty days in New Zealand. '____ ■
