DANCE AT SCOTS
COLLEGE PARENTS' ASSOCIATION
That school dances feature among the more popular social functions of the year was abundantly demonstrated on Saturday night by the attendance and enthusiasm of the dancers at the Scots College Parents' Association annual dance, which was held in the school gyninasium. Always a popular function, it was made doubly so this year by the presence of representatives of the Parents' Association, past and present masters of the college, "old boys," present pupils, and the colourful school pipe band, which, under the leadership of Mr. G. Bedding, provided musical items during the evening. Guests were welcomed by the president, Mr. Evin Fraser, ,and by Mrs. Fraser, who was wearing a white crepon frock with a striped bolero jacket. The decorations exploited the school colours of red and grey which were revealed in tubs of cellophane flowers decorating the stage. The walls and ceiling were made gay with bunting, interspersed with greenery. The music was supplied by an excellent orchestra, which entered fully into the spirit of the* occasion. Again this year novelty numbers were provided, there being exhibition dances, slow foxtrot, quick-step, and waltz by Mr. and i Mrs. R. Buckleton. The Lambeth Walk j was demonstrated by Mr. J. Jones and partner. Members of the association present included Mr. and Mrs. C. Ardrey, Mr. and Mrs. G. McMorran, Mr. and Mrs. R. Buckleton, Mesdames W. Burton, D. Patterson, and Mr. W. Seller. Mr. K. Glasgow, headmaster of Scots College, land Mrs. Glasgow were present, also I Mr. and Mrs. V. Francis, Miss E. McKenzie, and other members of the staff. The Old Boys' Association was represented by the president, Mr. A. Campbell," and Mrs. Campbell.
