MOVE NOT APPRECIATED
During training operations prior^'to winter meetings at Trentham, the pressure becomes very intense for .art hour or just over shortly after ' the work begins, as during that . period anything up to 200 horses, are taking turns on the tracks. In the/hope or relieving this pressure," the superintendent of the course decided to open the tracks this year- an hour * earner, but the move was hardly >.a success; as practically no horses putHn.an appearance prior to the usual 8 .o'clock and the congestion was much - the same as in the past between 8.30 and 9.30 'a.m. Yesterday morning,^for instance, the first horse, ito arrive was~ Yours Truly, at about' 7.40 -a.m., and he was the only horse to gallop prior to 8 o'clock. • It was the same last Saturday, and it was nearly 9 o'clock before anything was worked on Sunday. Evidently trainers do not desir* the earlier opening.- '
