LABOUR MANIFESTO

TO GERMAN WORKERS

WARNING AGAINST POLICY OF AGGRESSION

LONDON, July 1,

A manifesto addressed to the people of Germany has been issued by the National Council of Labour. It tells the German workers that Herr Hitler is encircling himself as well as them, and that the British people have no wish to encircle Germany.

It says: "The familiar process of warlike preparations, lying propaganda, and stimulated disturbance is being operated against Poland in respect of Danzig. You must face the fact that if this is continued the result will be war."

The council's appeal will be broadcast from secret Continental stations. It will be distributed throughout Poland and also through, underground stations throughout Germany. The 8.8.C will broadcast it in German, French, and Italian. It is headed: "Why kill each other?"
