SAMOAN LAUNCH MISHAP

(Received July 3, 9 a.m.) APIA, June 3ft. The Government launch Pilot left [Apia on Thursday evening with passengers and mail for Pago Pago to connect with a Matson liner, but failed jto arrive.

The launch Amy left Apia and two boats left Pago Pagi to conduct a search. The Amy reported by wireless that it had picked up the Pilot with a broken propeller shaft and transferred the passengers and mail.
