LATE MAJOR-GEN. CHAYTOR

Creek, yesterday to pay tribute to one| of their distinguished leaders, the late I Major-General Sir Edward Chaytor. | Members of the family and large numbers of local residents attended the memorial service, the church being inadequate to accommodate the entire congregation. '
Bishop Milliard, Nelson, delivered an appropriate address, in thl course of which he alluded to the presence of so many of those who served under Sir Edward Chaytor. He said that nothing liner emerged from the war than the wonderful spirit of comradeship of "diggers."
