HUIA II V. WESLEY

Wesley defeated Huia II by 3 goals to 2 in an even game at Karori Park. From the start of the game Wesley attacked strongly and were unlucky not to score from several penalty corners. Later they did not show so much dash. From a penalty corner, Byers scored for Wesley, but Hula retaliated and Cathie scored. The second spell was very similar to the first, Wesley being on the attack early, but slipping later. Sowden scored from a penalty corner by Wesjey but Searle netted for Huia to make honours even. Arthur netted the final goal of the match, and when the final whistle went the score waa Wesley 3, Huia 2. The umpire was Mr. C. Gardiner.
