MYSTERIOUS CHANG
"A Trip to Hades."
Conjuring tricks and a sequence of Illusions that leave the .audience breathless and mystified are performed by the master wizard Chang in his sensational mystic■■ musical-'- revue - "--'"A. Trip to Hades." Lavishly staged, the revue has never a dull -moment - and the supporting artists are of the same high calibre as the mysterious Chang. He has numerous acts to interest and amuse, producing pigeons and ducks, not to mention a large porcelain bowl filled with water, out-of nothingness. There is fun with a borrowed hat arid a borrowed pound note, and a canary in, a cage disappears just \?sGhang is about to give it to a iVQmatt; in the audience to hold. Then the wizard gives an amazing demonstration with two wooden hoops while his thumbs are tied; makes a heavy table rise and d^nce round the stage ana later escapes from a locked and roped trunk. Most mystifying of all is .the finale, "The Enchanted Princess' which alone is worth the price-~of admission. Then there is the weird African midnight jungle - dance^ and later spooks and ghosts flit about the darkened theatre. The Bridges, a trio of talented musicians, play their Cuban marimba 'with skill and .dexterity. They also xplay- the violin, piano, and harp. Walton and Murray, clever balancing acrobats, perform amazing feats on a short plank balanced on a roller. Joanna .Glair dances with her devilettes, and Ross Buchanan sings. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.
