The play was not ad 6fle«sided as the «dore» would indicate, the seasides awing their Win to brilliant he"adwork on the part' of Johnston, thd centre-forward, and mote general polish. Greasy though the ball and ground were, it was anybody's game, both 'keepers and the last lines being kept on their toes. The weighty fitinting of Jordan, right-back for Waterside, was a factor that kept Seatoun'a defence busy 4 but Seatoun seemed to have a greater retaiiatlte ability and a readier Seizure of Opportunity. !A penalty for a foul put Seatoun ahead in the first ten minutes, and Edmund's goal was added to Just before half-time by Johnston with a snappy drive. Shortly before Seatoun's second Janes scored an excellent goal for Waterside. In the second half Johnston got two more, both fine headers. The final score was: Seatoun 4, Waterside 1.
